For years there has been talk of a new stadium, the club needs it, the fans need it and to be frank, Tottenham itself would benefit if a new stadium were to stay in the area. Of course to do this Spurs asked for a rather large amount from Borris himself, and being that last summers London riots originated just down the road from the lane he didn’t really have a choice. Now it did seem at points last season that this new stadium wasn’t just on the horizon as it has been for years but was actually happening, whether the club will stick to its roots or up and leave remains to be seen, what is in no doubt however is the need for a larger capacity ground. Last time i checked there was over 30,000 people on the waiting list for a season ticket at White Hart Lane, this is money the club are missing out on, that extra revenue would allow the club to grow and develop past the limits a 36,000 seater stadium presents, further proof can be seen in this seasons attendance figures.
